Design
Yamaha has followed a new design and style that makes the Ray ZR apart from its old sibling Ray. The stylish graphics trendy designs are the main things that make this scooter stand apart and it also gives it a boyish look and feel. The front mask uses straight and strong lines with an addition of a newly designed headlight to make a distinctive and deeply sculpted appearance.
Front Pocket Storage
A front pocket is provided which is large enough to fit one 500 mL plastic drink bottle and other essential riding gears like goggles and sunglasses, a cool hook is also provided which can hold hanging bags, and shopping bags easily and is positioned below the seat in the foot well.

The new Ray ZR showcase a 113 CC Air-cooled 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve engine with Blue Core Technology that uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT) unit. The engine delivers a maximum power of 7.2 Ps @ 7500 rpm and peak torque of 8.1 Nm @ 5000 rpm. The engine provides smooth initial acceleration and good pickup at variable speeds.
The new engine also features technologies to use more horsepower and showcase excellent fuel efficiency and running performance. It is tuned with settings that provide easy-to-use power, especially in the extremely low- and low-speed ranges. The new engine provides the good mileage, the company claimed mileage of 66 km/l as per normal testing conditions.
Braking and Suspension
A 170 mm diameter disc brake is adopted for the front wheel and the brake of this scooter is optimum when riding at all speeds, and provides maximum confidence. The suspension duties of this scooter are done with telescopic suspension at the front and the rear and provide good feedback even at uneven roads and terrains making every ride smooth and comfortable.
A newly designed lightweight cast aluminium alloy wheels also come in handy with it. The combined weight of the front and rear wheels are lighter and contribute to lightweight and agile response handling characteristics of Ray ZR.

Rayz R comes with two eye-catching colours for its disk brake model to fulfil the needs of trend-conscious young riders. It will also be available in two different colours for its drum brake variant. The Ray ZR is available in all major cities in India and is available in Darknight, Matt Green, Fizz White, Maverick Blue and Rooster Red.
