Vespa revealed its new premium scooter Elelgante at The Corinthian Club, Pune for the first time for public response. Keeping up with the adoration that Indian market has for Vespa, the new scooter will be available only in limited numbers. Piaggio has been setting the bars high on scooter business in India, reminding us constantly about style and class. Well, Elegante is fine tuned to suit the requirements of those who love the chic.
Estimated pricing of Vespa Elegante is around Rs. 80,000. The actual price will be revealed only at the launch. This is Piaggio's second limited edition model in India, with the first one being Exclusivo. Elegante comes as a stylish and glamorous version of Vespa VX, with a Retro look. Just like Piaggio's International model Primavera, the design of Elegante is supposed to create a stir within the Indian segment of luxury lovers.
Model is speculated to have Beige finished split end seats, rear chrome treated grab pillion rails and several other ornamental additions which fits the tag of Elegante. Exclusive paint scheme of Crete Sinsesi is another major attraction. Vespa Elegante is expected to arrive with a 4 stroke, air cooled 125 cc engine like Vespa VX 125, with 9.91 bhp power and 10.6 Nm of peak Torque. While the scooter has Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gear box, this model will not be having the fuel injection feature. To keep up with the premium factor of the scooter, a front disk and rear drum brakes are installed. Vespa Elegante is the fifth model of Piaggio in India.
