Yamaha Tricity 125: A Revolutionary Urban Commuter

Design
Yamaha has designed the Tricity will utmost diligence and precision to make it user-friendly for riders of all ages. This careful engineering is reflected in the overall design and lightweight of the scooter which comes only around at just 156kg, even while holding a full tank fuel. The engine and chassis have been designed to provide a confident handling feeling and that makes it easy to ride the scooter in the city.



Urban Inspired Bodywork
Yamaha has gives the Tricity a beautifully styled bodywork and design which gives the Tricity a more dynamic and modern look and feel. The big headlamps, modern design lines, sports screen, a stylised flared leg shields which provide good protection from the wind and weather and a completely new rear section give this 3 wheeled scooter a sophisticated characteristic and style on roads.



Leaning Multi-Wheel System

The seat is long and wifde making it comfortable to sit and ride in and araoudn the city and for occasional long rides. The seat height of the Tricity is set a considerable low height making it easy for anyone to ride it very easily.



Storage

The Tricity is powered by a 125 CC Single cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valves engine. Yamaha has provided the Trcity with a 9.0 kW @ 7,500 rpm and a torque of 11.7 Nm @ 7,250 rpm. The Blue Core technology also comes with this engine that provides excellent fuel economy with good performance.

Braking and Suspension
A Unified Brake System is present in this 3-wheel scooter to provide efficient braking at all speeds. The new braking system also provides increased stability and control in any terrain. A Dual 220mm diameter front discs and a 230mm rear disc are equipped to provide this stopping power. The Unified Brake System automatically optimizes the front and rear braking force when you the pull the left lever while operating it with both levers together, giving smooth and effective braking.

A unique parallelogram link and independent dual telescopic forks are employed in the Tricity which forms an ingenious system that allows the twin front wheels to lean around corners, making this scooter easy and comfortable to ride in and around the city and highways with utmost comfort and confidence.



Colour and Availability

The Tricity is available in various shades; Sunny Yellow, Aqua Blue, Matt Grey and Milky White. Since the increase of vehicles on the road and the much-added traffic makes commuting hard for many and cause accidents more than ever in India, the Tricity will be boon for new riders as well as women and children alike if it gets launched in the country.
