The X-MAX 300 is a powerful urban commuter from Yamaha. Unlike the NMAX 125 and other low power urban commuters showcased by the company, the X-MAX 300 has a much bigger engine with stylised forks, large wheels, a compact chassis and many other features. Yamaha has given the NMAX 300 an agile sporty look design with premium class comfort to make urban commuting and occasional long rides easier.

Design
Much of the bodywork of this urban commuter belongs to the siblings MAX's DNA and this resemblance can be traced in its entire design.The dual LED headlights, aerodynamic cowl and the boomerang side panels reflects this design inspiration and gives the new X-MAX 300 a sporty and dynamic looks and feel.

A large multi-function instrument panel is provided in this commuter to give better visibility to the rider at all times. The instrument cluster provides clear information required for the rider.

A large analogue speedometer and tachometer included in the console. The LCD multi-function display includes a fuel gauge, clock, trip meter and more. Moreover, the switching functions of this scooter are made easier with the employment of a handlebar mounted control switch.

Smart Key System
A Smart Key keyless ignition system comes along with this scooter. The Smart Key allows the user to access the entire functionality of this scooter.

Engine
The X-MAX 300 is powered by a powerful and efficient 292 CC Single cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valves engine capable of producing 2706 bhp @ 7,250 rpm and a healthy torque of 29.0 Nm @ 5,750 rpm. The engine uses the Blue Core technology and is EU4 compliant. The Blue Core technology helps the engine to produce more power using less fuel. So the X-MAX 300 engine features optimised valve shapes, a compact combustion chamber and optimised timing.

Braking and Suspension
Taking its cue from the high-performance TMAX, the X-MAX 300 is equipped with motorcycle style telescopic front forks that deliver a comfortable ride with easy steering and agile handling. Giving plenty of front wheel travel, these high-specification forks soak up bumps and give motorcycle levels of handling and stability.

The X-MAX 300 is designed to handle everything from commuting through to leisure riding and weekend touring. For stable handling and good traction, it's fitted with lightweight large diameter alloy wheels with a 120/70-15 front tyre and a wide 140/70-14 rear tyre - while braking power is provided by an ABS-equipped 267mm front disc and 240mm rear disc.

Colour and Availability
The Yamaha X-MAX 300 is available in three shades; Quasar Bronze, Milky White and Matt Grey. The Yamaha X-MAX 300 is currently not available in India as the indian market is getting used to powerful commuters, the company is yet to say about the official launch of X-MAX 300. But, with the ever increasing popularity of scooter segments in India and the arrival of scooters like the powerful Aprilia SR 150 and the likes, there is a chance for Yamaha to introduce this powerful and stylish urban commuter to the India market. We can hope that Yamaha will think of showcasing the X-MAX 300 at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo.
