The X-MAX 300 is a powerful urban commuter from Yamaha. Unlike the NMAX 125 and other low power urban commuters showcased by the company, the X-MAX 300 has a much bigger engine with stylised forks, large wheels, a compact chassis and many other features. Yamaha has given the NMAX 300 an agile sporty look design with premium class comfort to make urban commuting and occasional long rides easier.
The 300 comes with excellent looks and dynamics making it one of the best commuters in the segment and with its generous under-seat storage, ABS braking system and features like the Traction Control System fitted as standard the X-MAX showcase unmatched road presence and comfort in the urban commuter scooter segment.
Much of the bodywork of this urban commuter belongs to the siblings MAX's DNA and this resemblance can be traced in its entire design. The dual LED headlights, aerodynamic cowl and the boomerang side panels reflects this design inspiration and gives the new X-MAX 300 a sporty and dynamic looks and feel.
Multi-Function Instrument Cluster
A large multi-function instrument panel is provided in this commuter to give better visibility to the rider at all times. The instrument cluster provides clear information required for the rider.
A large analogue speedometer and tachometer included in the console. The LCD multi-function display includes a fuel gauge, clock, trip meter and more. Moreover, the switching functions of this scooter are made easier with the employment of a handlebar mounted control switch.
Smart Key System
A Smart Key keyless ignition system comes along with this scooter. The Smart Key allows the user to access the entire functionality of this scooter.
It can turn the X-MAX 300 on and off, unlock the steering and seat and gain access to the fuel tank and storage compartment. A remote control for locking and locating the scooter is also provided which can be operated with the press of one button.
Handy 12V Outlet
X-MAX 300 is also comes fitted with a 12V outlet that's located in the left panel in front of the rider.
This handy feature enables to power a GPS / navigation system or charge other devices while on the move, making this scooter a practicable and functional scooter ideal for commuting and leisure riding in unknown lands and far away places.
Traction Control System (TCS)
A Traction Control System (TCS) comes as standard equipment for this scooter. TCS can be seen only in advanced motorcycle used for heavy duty purposes like off-roading and track racing, but modern vehicles incorporate this system as standard nowadays and Yamaha has given this feature to this scooter.
This advanced electronic system prevents the rear tyre from losing traction by reducing the drive to the wheel if the sensors detect any slip - giving added levels of confidence and feelings of safety on slippery surfaces. The TCS system provides more confidence to the rider and provides more comfort in all terrains and road conditions.
Large Under-Seat Storage
A big under seat storage is provided in this urban commuter. The large under seat storage compartment has internal LED lighting and can handle 2 full-face helmets and more - making it a practical and functional daily commuter.
The commuter can store everything from spare clothes to sports gear in a single compartment.
The X-MAX 300 is powered by a powerful and efficient 292 CC Single cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valves engine capable of producing 2706 bhp @ 7,250 rpm and a healthy torque of 29.0 Nm @ 5,750 rpm. The engine uses the Blue Core technology and is EU4 compliant. The Blue Core technology helps the engine to produce more power using less fuel. So the X-MAX 300 engine features optimised valve shapes, a compact combustion chamber and optimised timing.
These measures reduce power losses and increase efficiency, giving you better performance and lower fuel bills from this liquid-cooled 300cc engine!
Braking and Suspension
Taking its cue from the high-performance TMAX, the X-MAX 300 is equipped with motorcycle style telescopic front forks that deliver a comfortable ride with easy steering and agile handling. Giving plenty of front wheel travel, these high-specification forks soak up bumps and give motorcycle levels of handling and stability.
The X-MAX 300 is designed to handle everything from commuting through to leisure riding and weekend touring. For stable handling and good traction, it's fitted with lightweight large diameter alloy wheels with a 120/70-15 front tyre and a wide 140/70-14 rear tyre - while braking power is provided by an ABS-equipped 267mm front disc and 240mm rear disc.

The Yamaha X-MAX 300 is available in three shades; Quasar Bronze, Milky White and Matt Grey. The Yamaha X-MAX 300 is currently not available in India as the indian market is getting used to powerful commuters, the company is yet to say about the official launch of X-MAX 300.
