The new D'elight is a stylish scooter designed and developed by Yamaha Motor Corporation. The D'elight is big on practicality and functionality, and the large 36-litre storage space under the comfortable dual seat is designed to accommodate one full-face helmet or a business or weekend bag.
And for added convenience, there's a clamp-type hook mounted on the leg shields in front of the rider that's ideal for carrying small shopping bags.
Comfortable Seating Position
A very spacious and compact seating position is provided in this scooter which is combined with a very well developed chassis designed to give maximum comfort and spacious seating position for the rider and the pillion.
The seat comes at a just 785mm high and provides easy leg reach to the ground. The large and flat footboard gives the rider the freedom to adopt a most relaxed riding position while riding through traffic and highways.
Light Weight Design and Comfort
Yamaha has made this scooter to be very light in weight and thus comes at just 99kgs. The light weight of this scooter makes it easy to ride around the city and in traffic with much ease.

Engine
The D'elight showcase a 125 CC Single cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, SOHC engine producing 8.31 bhp @ 6,750 rpm and 9.8 Nm torque @ 5,250 rpm. The new powerful 125cc engine is made economical with the incorporation of Yamaha's Blue Core technology.
The engine is made to be more reliable and powerful at the same time while care is also given to made sure to prevent any power losses when concentrating on increasing fuel efficiency. This makes the new air-cooled 125cc engine to provide a more lively performance together with excellent fuel economy. The D'elight provides a smooth ride and is comfortable at variable speeds because of the highly tweaked engine.
Braking and Suspension
The new D'elight provides a smooth and balanced braking performance combines extremely powerful 180mm disc brakes at the front and optimum drum brake at the rear that ensuring enough stopping power. The inclusion of Unified Braking System (UBS) automatically balances braking inputs to ensure smoother braking.
A 12-inch front wheel and a 10-inch rear wheel is provided to make this scooter good for a city as well as highway rides. The big tyres make sure that you enjoy a smooth ride together with light handling and sure-footed road holding with the D'elight.The lightweight 6-spoke die-cast aluminium wheels are fitted with these specially designed tyres to give good traction with high fuel economy.
Colour and Availability
Thre new Yamaha D'elight is available in three shades; Lava Red, Milky White and Diamond Black. As of now, Yamaha hasn't provided any official words about when this stylish scooter will hit the Indian market, but we can expect the launch of the Yamaha D'elight in the 2018 Auto Expo.
