Suzuki Access Review

Suzuki's 125cc Access gearless feature is the main highlight of this scooter, although the Access is reminiscent of Activa and its sibling Eterno in some ways but the company has managed to give this scooter the uniqueness customers would prefer. The light arrangement, curvaceous design and an overall simple aesthetics used on Access sets it apart and with that the company has maintained the typical Japanese design, which is conspicuous in its other products as well. One thing that has to be mentioned at this juncture is, in comparison to Activa and Kinetic SYM's Flyte, Access exudes a lot of elegance combined with simplicity and it truly lives to the tagline: Suzuki Access 125 - Access for all your wishes.

Suzuki Access 125

Stylish or overstated looks?
Riders will surely say wow at the first glance of the Suzuki especially the front view is appealing; the eye shaped indicators are positioned vertically, which looks unique and nice, the front panels get body color and the pretty large multi-reflector headlamp offers clear vision. The ignition with a chrome finish shutter looks trendy and cool while the a bit of black for the rear view mirrors and grab rail make up for the sporty look of the scooter. Suzuki Access has a huge storage compartment under the seat, which comes in handy to dump in quite a lot your belongings.
The foot pegs are neat and fold up quite easily when they are not in use, there is chrome finish for the front shock absorbers and to avoid theft the scooter is equipped with shutter mechanism with a single point system for the entire vehicle. The gearless feature of course is a big stand out point of Access and the self start mechanism makes it very comfortable for riding, while the instrument cluster consists of fuel gauge, speedometer etc, which looks stylish and compact. The single tone graphics adds to the simplicity and elegance of the vehicle.

Engine, performance and mileage
The Suzuki Access is equipped with a 4-stroke, air-cooled, 125 cc engine along with CVT (continuous variable transmission) that delivers a power of 6.4 Kw @ 7000rpm and maximum torque of 9.8Nm @ 5000 rpm. The engine ensures great fuel efficiency and superb performance. Furthermore, the 4-stroke engine, single cylinder with OHC configuration offers low friction & clear emission. Access, with a powerful engine zips an acceleration of 0-60 km in just 6.56 seconds. The powerful suspension, wide seat and the comfortable foot pegs, stable and big size tyres enable a great riding experience.

Suzuki Access 125

The Access gives a mileage of 35-38 kmpl which may not be awesome but okay considering the road conditions, but the advanced gearless technology and instant start with the start of button (until choke on for warming up in Activa) makes Access a darling of a scooter in the current times.

Colors and price
The Suzuki access is available in six interesting colors: Pearl Nebular black, Metallic Sonic silver, Metallic flint gray, Pearl mirage white, Candy Antares red and Pearl lilac purple. Access comes with a price tag of Rs. 48, 573 (On road Delhi)

Suzuki Access 125

Final verdict:
Why buy the Access?
The Suzuki Access gearless scooter makes a good buy for its overstated looks. The big advantage of the scooter is its easy and comfortable riding. Even in terms of power and performance Access scores more than the competitive rival brand Honda Activa.

Why deny the Access?
If one has to pick a flaw or tow then they would be the build quality, poor fuel efficiency and huge waiting period. While the build quality of the Access cannot even be compared to the Activa and its mileage really annoys. The waiting for the Access is as much as minimum 16 weeks which makes one jump to another choice like TVS Wego or Scooty Streak. But if one can ignore these cons, Access 125 can prove a good companion with its other good features for long time.

I would request buyers never opt for suzuki access 125. Its the worst bike i have ever come across. bought in 2011, engine got ceased in 2012 end even after maintaining in authorised service centres of suzuki. till date i have to do reborring and changing of complete bore almost 5times. its like i have been changing half of engine every year.

If you like to take it anywhere in tamilnadu between vellore to tirupattur. dont even think of buying this in dream. Worst showrooms, worst service. Natrampalli showroom is pathetic. no mechanics, no management, no facility its like a road side mechanic shop with a irresponsible owner.

Activa is best.
