When Hero Honda (now known as Hero Motocorp) introduced its first scooter, the Pleasure in 2005, that became a revolutionary act in the Indian two-wheeler industry. The ad which was starred by Bollywood actress, Priyanka Chopra disclosing the tag-line "Why should boys have all the fun?" became one of the massive hit TV commercials in the next years.
While Hero launched the Pleasure in to the sales market next year in 2006, the initial plan of the gigantic motorcycle firm was to cover 5000 units per month. As now Hero Motocorp sells 30,000 units of Pleasures every month, there is nothing to get surprised.
Right now what the hot news is that Hero plans to expand its Just4her showrooms by up to 50. At present Hero has 30 Just4her outlets across the country. The Just4her is a complete store of women riders that is completely manned by women staffs. It is not like any other motorcycle stores we have seen. It is much more than that. Designed like a boutique studio, it provides to feel to be in a next level world of scootering. Its features never end here. Provided with aesthetically-designed interiors, comfortable air-conditioned waiting lounges, internet connectivity for customers, and friendliness; Hero Motocorp tempts each and every visitors to be a part of Hero family.
"We currently have around 30 Just4her showrooms spread across the country and we plan to take these up to 50 outlets in about a year's time. When we launched Pleasure a few years back, our initial target was to sell 5000 units a month. Today we sell more than 30,000 units of Pleasure on an average per month," said Anil Dua, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales Department at Hero Motocorp Ltd.
As part of expansion, Hero Motocorp will be increasing the number of Just4her outlets from 30 to 50. At the first stage, the company will be establishing 10 Just4her dealerships across the country. In the second phase, the Indian scooter industry will see 10 more Just4her stores within this year.
Hero Pleasure is mated with a 102 cc, Air-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder OHC engine. It produces a maximum power of 5.03 KW @ 7000 RPM and a maximum torque of 7.85 Nm @ 5000 RPM. This auto-transmitted machine can reach a top speed of 80 kmph. The average mileage of the Pleasure is 45 kmpl.
